Social Work
Pregnancy is a positive experience for many.
It can also bring social and emotional challenges. You may experience stress related to work, housing, finances or relationships. You may be concerned about your mood. Some may be affected by substance use or addiction.
You may simply be interested in accessing services to support you in becoming the best parent you can be.
Our counsellor can help you prepare to be a parent by connecting to community resources like prenatal programs, in-home support, and mental health counselling.
Speak to your physician, resident or other health care professional about scheduling time to speak with our Social Worker.
Allied health providers
Our team has many other individuals who can help, if needed, to support your pregnancy, including:
- Registered Dietitian
- System Navigation
- Physiotherapist
Talk to your Maternity Centre provider if you think you would benefit from seeing one of these health-care professionals.
